No.135.
Your telegram of the 13th September No.160.
Your
قاد
visit to Canton has naturally excited great interest at
Naking and Tokyo. Both the Japanese Minister for Foreign
Affairs in recent conversation with His Majesty's Anbessador
and alco the Japanese Ambassaiere in London and Paris when
discussing with the Lord Privy Seal at Genera the Far Eastern
aituecion have referred to rumours in Press to the effect
that you discussed with Chiang Kai Shek in course of your
isit Sin-Japanese tension and offered good offices of His
Majesty's Government. No doubt this report is exaggerated but I should be glad if information as to purpose of your
conversations with person named and your impressions in general
could be sent to me as soon as possible for His Majesty' a
Government.
